Prior joining the academia, I have been working in hotel and travel industry for more than 20 years; holding the IT management positions in various international and local chain hotels, and was also the Director of Operations of a local travel agency for seven years, which was the first online travel agency in Hong Kong that provide online reservation in 2000. I was involved in daily operation management, openings, system migration, and contingency planning in Hong Kong and China. I also provided consultancy service on operations workflow, strategic planning and marketing plans to hotel, travel organization and government.

Academia
After finished my PhD in tourism IT at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I have been serving as the Head of the Department of Hospitality Management at Caritas Bianchi College of Careers and I-Shou University, and research consultant with government and travel organizations. Even I am working in academia, I am still maintain a close relationship and collaboration with the industry by offering consultancy services to a range of hotel and tourism organizations on tourism and marketing strategies. Currently, I am the Associate Professor of Graduate Institute of Hospitality Management at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, Taiwan.
